An expert in odontology

Hi all, in this time i will talk about a person on my field that I admire. This Person is German Valenzuela Basterrica, founder of the “Facultad de Odontologia de la Universidad de Chile” and first person in use the teeth for recognize a dead person.
He was the director of the School of Dentistry in the late nineteenth century. After studying medicine he had been sent by the government to specialize as a dentist in Paris, earning his degree in 1889.
In 1909 he participated in the investigation of the case Becker with significant participation. He resolved this case using their knowledge in odontology and with this event he helped Chile with their bilateral problems. After that, President Pedro Montt offered a reward to German Valenzuela, who agreed and requested a new school of odontology to teach this great profession.
 

Now, dental school named after him in recognition of his contribution to the country's dentistry. This is a small biography of German Valenzuela Bastarrica, a very important person in the national odontology.
